At the heart of our business model lies responsible turf management. While many local and national lawn care providers offer soil testing as an optional add-on or part of premium programs, we believe it should be an integral part of any lawn care approach.

 

We have encountered numerous cases where lawns, previously treated by regional and national providers for years, suffer from severe potassium deficiency and extreme acidity. Some lawns, despite receiving yearly lime applications from other companies, needed over 100 lbs. of lime per 1000 square feet to restore their pH levels to the optimal range. Continuing to fertilize these severely lime-deficient lawns is not responsible environmental stewardship. 

 

At Turf Professors, we believe it's essential to have a baseline understanding of your lawn's soil composition before initiating any treatment. That's why all our new customers receive a soil sample analysis before we begin our applications. For customers enrolled in our Masters Program, we provide yearly soil tests along with maintenance lime applications as part of the package.

 

Knowing your soil's pH level is critical because the grass cannot effectively absorb nutrients if the soil is too acidic or alkaline. Based on the results of these tests, we may recommend lime application or specific nutrient packages to kickstart your lawn's health and growth. Our approach ensures that we address the specific needs of your lawn, promoting an environmentally conscious and effective lawn care strategy.
